Hi. My name’s Shawn. I’m with Kyle Burch, general manager of Abernathy Roofing and Construction. We get asked a lot why, after 20 years of being in service selling roofing, did you decide to start selling solar? I’ve been asked that a lot myself, and the biggest reasons are we care about the community and people and try to save money. We also figured that there’s nobody better to put solar on than a roofing company specializing in roofs, and we can ensure that the roofs are in good shape and are adequate for solar. We want to be able to take care of people long term and get tired of people coming in from out of town and not doing what they said they were going to do.
So, what are the advantages of hiring somebody like Abernathy, a local company, to put solar panels on your roof? We’ve been here for 21 years, so we’re not going anywhere. So, we’re here to take care of you after the sale. We’re not just a fly-by-night company or an 800 number. You have to call, stay on the phone forever, and not even get through to somebody. We can also monitor the solar system. We do that in-house, and we do everything in-house. We don’t sub out to a nationwide company like most roofing companies that get into solar. We do everything in-house and stay local.
So even with the national companies, they don’t always even offer just roofing. They’re only offering solar. So why are solar and roofing combined so important? Well, because you don’t want to put the solar on and then a couple of years down the road have to replace your roofing and pull that back off. That can get very, very expensive. So we can make sure that everything is done adequately upfront. The other important thing is the tax benefits and the savings that you can get, as well as being on a roll it all into an affordable payment, you can get all and put into one loan. So, there are a lot of huge benefits. So, let us inspect the roof, ensure it’s in good shape, and examine whether solar is right for you.
There’s nobody better to do that than somebody here local like Abernathy.
